Fitzpatrick Takes the Lead After Round Two of the RBC Heritage
Matt Fitzpatrick has taken the lead at the RBC Heritage after the second round, carding an impressive eight-under-par 63. The English golfer had a stellar day, making eight birdies without a single bogey at Hilton Head. This included a notable 36-foot putt on the 15th hole. Fitzpatrick, the 2022 US Open champion, started the day in a six-way tie for third place after an opening round of 65. He now leads the leaderboard at 14 under par midway through the tournament. Viktor Hovland of Norway trails closely behind, just one stroke back, after scoring 65 in the second round. Meanwhile, overnight leader Ludvig Aberg slipped to a joint-fourth position due to three bogeys on the back nine. Robert MacIntyre of Scotland is six shots behind Fitzpatrick after scoring 68, and world number one Scottie Scheffler is seven shots off the lead after a 67.
