Baumgardner Sets Sights on Super Fights with Taylor, Serrano, and Mayer
Unified super-featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner is on the hunt for the sport's biggest names, with Katie Taylor, Amanda Serrano, and Mikaela Mayer topping her wishlist. "Those three are all great matchups. Let's make them happen," Baumgardner stated, prioritizing these bouts over a potential fight with Britain's unified lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois. "I'm focused on the biggest fights out there. Dubois isn't ready yet. While she's hungry, I'm not avoiding her - I'm just focused on the most significant opportunities available, and our fight will happen when the time is right," Baumgardner explained. Before pursuing these high-profile fights, Baumgardner must first defend her WBA, WBO, and IBF super-featherweight titles against Bo Mi Re Shin at New York's Madison Square Garden Theater, live on Sky Sports. "Bo Mi Re Shin is a warrior, but I'm hungrier and sharper. I know I can go the distance, and now I want to unleash my meaner and more aggressive side in the ring," Baumgardner said. Shin, however, is determined to disrupt Baumgardner's plans. "Alycia has always been my target, and now it's time for me to take her titles. I have a lot of respect for Baumgardner - she's a strong fighter with a great style - but I believe I have more perseverance, and I'm ready to prove it," Shin said.
