Hull KR Thrash Toulouse, Leigh Secure Crucial Win Over York

Hull KR dominated with eight tries, earning their third consecutive win in the Betfred Super League with a resounding 46-0 victory over Toulouse. The visitors took an early lead with Elliot Minchella's try, and despite having another attempt disallowed, Rhyse Martin extended their advantage to 12-0 after Toulouse failed to handle a high kick from Mikey Lewis. Rovers doubled their lead with tries on either side of halftime, as Tyrone May set up Dean Hadley and Joe Burgess scored to make it 24-0. The hosts' woes continued as Hull KR ran in a fifth try, with Lewis breaching the Toulouse line and passing to Jez Litten, who touched down. The visitors showed no mercy, intercepting a pass and running the length of the field for another try, before Lewis set up Jai Whitbread for their seventh and Burgess added his second to seal a dominant win, condemning Toulouse to their sixth straight defeat. Meanwhile, Leigh returned to winning ways in the Betfred Super League with a hard-fought 18-6 success over York. Adrian Lam's side had won only one of their last four matches but came out on top at the LNER Community Stadium, which could be a pivotal moment in their campaign. Gareth O'Brien and Xavier Va'a traded first-half tries before Adam Cook's penalty put the visitors ahead at halftime. Josh Charnley and Jacob Alick-Wiencke crossed in the second half to help Leigh grind out the win and climb to 10th in the table. Both teams had two wins from their opening seven games before kickoff, with York one spot above Leigh due to a better points difference. Injury-hit Leigh welcomed back some players but still had key figures on the sidelines. AJ Towse, one of the returning stars, produced a brilliant last-ditch tackle to deny Scott Galeano before Leigh took the lead. York leveled the score, but Va'a was sin-binned, allowing Cook to regain the lead for Leigh. The second half saw few clear chances before Towse had a chance to score, but a covering challenge dislodged the ball. This sparked Leigh into life, and they grabbed their second try, followed by Alick-Wiencke's score, to secure an 18-6 win and condemn York to their fifth successive Super League defeat.
