Bournemouth have come to an agreement with Marco Rose to take the reins as the new manager, replacing Andoni Iraola. Although Rose's official start date is set for this summer, the deal has been struck to enable both the incoming manager and the club to prepare for the upcoming season, following Iraola's announcement that he would be leaving the club when his contract expires. Iraola revealed his decision to step down as head coach on Tuesday, marking the end of his three-year tenure at the Vitality Stadium.

According to Sky Sports News, Rose, the former RB Leipzig manager, was the top candidate to succeed Iraola due to their shared footballing philosophy and playing style. The 49-year-old has been out of management since his dismissal from RB Leipzig in March 2025. With Rose's appointment, the club is working on completing the necessary paperwork and securing his work visa.

Discussions are also underway to finalize the makeup of his backroom staff. Rose's experience in winning silverware and competing in the Champions League makes him an attractive fit for Bournemouth's ambitions.

His footballing philosophy, which emphasizes "emotion, hunger, and being active," aligns with the club's vision. As Rose has previously stated, his playing style involves being "very active against the ball, sprinting a lot," and focusing on "fast, dynamic, and active forward" play. The club is now looking to the future, with the ultimate goal of securing a major trophy for the first time in their history.
