Nicky Richards Seeks to Extend Winning Streak at Hexham

Following an impressive eight consecutive wins, Nicky Richards is set to send three horses to Hexham for Monday's National Hunt action. Jamesieconn will be competing in the Mick Walsh Open Ditch Handicap Chase, seeking a fourth consecutive victory for the in-form Richards team. Having won at Carlisle recently, Jamesieconn has been raised 5lbs to a mark of 100, but may still pose a threat under Danny McMenamin. Streamsforth Lad, meanwhile, has yet to achieve a win despite placing in various events, and will be looking to capitalize on his recent improvement. Stuart Coltherd's Rightbackatyou will also be competing, having shown promise in a recent event over the same course and distance. Nicky Richards' remarkable winning streak will be put to the test with Young Getaway's debut in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase. Other notable runners include That One, making his chasing debut, and the Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore-trained Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper. Grant Wood, trained by Paul Midgley, will be seeking to build on his previous successes at Gosforth Park, while Wicket Keeper and Paddy's Day will also be in action. The day's events will conclude with the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle, where Gardener will be looking to replicate his recent victory over the course and distance.
