Canadian Cruiserweight Ryan Rozicki Joins Zuffa Boxing Roster
Canadian boxer Ryan Rozicki, known for his formidable punching power, has inked a multi-fight contract with Zuffa Boxing. Rozicki, nicknamed 'The Bruiser', joins a talented cruiserweight division that features champion Jai Opetaia, former world champion Chris Billam-Smith, and top contender Brandon Glanton. With 21 professional wins, all but one by knockout, Rozicki has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the boxing world. His only loss came in 2021 against Oscar Rivas, a seasoned heavyweight contender. Since then, Rozicki has remained unbeaten in nine consecutive fights, often competing in front of sold-out crowds in Nova Scotia. Notably, he fought for the WBC interim title in a 2024 rematch against Yamil Alberto Peralta, which ended in a draw. Rozicki's impressive resume includes a victory over Olanrewaju Durodola, who had previously gone the distance with notable boxers Richard Riakporhe and Ilunga Makabu. In his most recent bout, Rozicki secured a second-round knockout against Gerardo Mellado. 'I'm thrilled to embark on this new chapter and be part of Zuffa's vision,' Rozicki stated. 'My team has worked tirelessly to get me to this point, and I'm confident in my ability to succeed at the highest level. This is a significant platform, and I'm eager to make a statement.' The details of Rozicki's Zuffa Boxing debut are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
