Shadasia Green Receives Medical Attention for Brain Bleed Following Loss to Lani Daniels

Following her defeat to Lani Daniels in New York, Shadasia Green underwent treatment for a brain bleed. The incident occurred during their bout for the unified IBF and WBO super-middleweight titles, which took place on the undercard of Alycia Baumgardner's match against Bo Mi Re Shin at the Madison Square Garden Theater. The fight was stopped in the ninth round after Daniels landed a series of shots, prompting the referee to intervene and Green to be stretchered out of the ring. Green took to social media to update her fans, stating: "I lost consciousness due to a brain bleed. However, I am currently in the ICU and on the path to recovery. I will return to claim what is mine, 100 percent." Green's victory over Britain's Savannah Marshall last year earned her the unified world champion title, making her a potential opponent for multi-weight undisputed champion Claressa Shields. Green expressed her gratitude, saying: "I want to thank everyone who showed concern and those who realized something was amiss during the fight."
