Following his remarkable debut in the ONE Championship, British fighter Ben Woolliss is gearing up for his next bout, scheduled to take place on May 16 and broadcast live on Sky Sports. Woolliss will face off against Petchtanong Petchfergus in a bantamweight kickboxing match at the Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand. This will be a challenging contest for Woolliss, as Petchfergus is a former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion. Despite struggling with health issues in recent years, Woolliss made a successful promotional debut last month, defeating former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion John Lineker in a featherweight kickboxing bout on short notice.

Lineker, known for his formidable punching power, was taken down by Woolliss in a spectacular one-round stoppage, courtesy of Woolliss's damaging low kicks. The main event on May 16 will feature Chinese star Tang Kai as he defends his ONE featherweight MMA world title against Shamil "The Cobra" Gasanov. Tang Kai has been on a dominant run, defeating all opponents in his path, while Gasanov boasts a near-flawless record, leveraging his stand-up skills, grappling, and submission expertise to overpower his opponents. After avenging his only career loss, Gasanov is now poised to make a significant impact.
