Cyrus Pattinson is on a mission to revive his career in Newcastle this Saturday. A former top GB amateur boxer, Pattinson was just one win away from qualifying for the 2016 Olympic Games. After turning professional in 2021 and winning his first six fights, he gained a large following in the North East. However, a loss to Conah Walker in 2023 led to a tough journey back, with Pattinson struggling with a severe eye injury and finding himself without a promoter, manager, or trainer. At his lowest point, Pattinson described his situation as 'rock bottom,' where he was just trying to survive each day. He has since found a new trainer in Billy Nelson and has won three consecutive fights. Pattinson is now set to face Tunde Segun Adeyemi at the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle on Saturday, with his sights set on the British and Commonwealth welterweight titles in the future. 'I've got a good fighter in front of me on Saturday night, but I'm always looking to win and put on a show for the fans,' Pattinson said. His trainer, Billy Nelson, is confident in Pattinson's abilities, stating, 'I'm very happy with Cyrus' improvement. He's a consummate professional, and I believe he can compete at the domestic level and beyond.'
