Nicky Richards Seeks to Extend Winning Streak at Hexham

Following an impressive eight consecutive wins, Nicky Richards is set to send three horses to Hexham for Monday's National Hunt action. Jamesieconn, part of the in-form Richards team, will be competing in the Mick Walsh Open Ditch Handicap Chase, chasing a fourth consecutive victory. Having previously demonstrated a preference for the three-mile distance and good ground with a win at Carlisle, Jamesieconn has been given a 5lb weight increase to a mark of 100, which may pose a challenge. Nevertheless, it would not be surprising if Danny McMenamin's mount rises to the occasion once again. Streamsforth Lad, despite having placed in various hurdle and chase events, is yet to achieve a win and will be racing off a mark of 97. Meanwhile, Stuart Coltherd, who has achieved a level-stakes profit of +298 over the last two weeks, will be fielding Rightbackatyou, who previously finished as the best of the rest behind Scottish King over this course and distance. Nicky Richards will also be sending out Young Getaway to attempt to continue his remarkable winning streak in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase. This will be Young Getaway's chasing debut, a year after being defeated over hurdles by That One, who will also be making his debut over fences. The Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore combination will be represented by Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper, with the former having shown consistency in recent starts. Grant Wood, trained by Paul Midgley, returns to Gosforth Park, where he has achieved success in his two recent visits. Other notable runners include Wicket Keeper, Paddy's Day, and Albasheer, while Gardener will be competing in the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle at 4:30 pm.
