The 23-year-old sustained the injury during the Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield and scans have confirmed a rupture of the Achilles tendon.

Liverpool confirmed that Ekitike will be sidelined for the rest of the club season and will not participate in the World Cup.
