Tavernier Keeps Rangers Deal Option Open Amid League Title Pursuit

Rangers captain James Tavernier has expressed his willingness to consider a new deal with the club, emphasizing that he will not rule out the possibility of staying. With his current contract set to expire at the end of the season, Tavernier's focus remains on securing his second Premiership title since joining the team in 2015. Rangers are currently one point behind leaders Hearts, with Celtic trailing by two points and five games remaining. Tavernier stated, 'I'm taking things one day at a time. My priority is the upcoming week, my training, and my family commitments.' He added, 'I've been with Rangers for a long time, and I'll never close the door on the possibility of staying. However, I need to wait and see what the future holds.' Despite starting only 23 of Rangers' 33 league games this season, Tavernier remains committed to supporting his teammates and giving his best when called upon. Under the leadership of head coach Danny Röhl, Rangers have made a remarkable turnaround after a slow start to the season.
