Canadian Cruiserweight Ryan Rozicki Joins Zuffa Boxing Roster

Canadian powerhouse Ryan Rozicki, known for his formidable punching ability, has inked a multi-fight contract with Zuffa Boxing. Nicknamed 'The Bruiser', Rozicki bolsters the promotion's already impressive cruiserweight lineup, which features champion Jai Opetaia, former titleholder Chris Billam-Smith, and top contender Brandon Glanton. With a professional record boasting 21 wins, all but one of which were secured via knockout, Rozicki has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the cruiserweight division. His sole defeat came at the hands of seasoned heavyweight contender Oscar Rivas in 2021, but Rozicki has since racked up nine consecutive victories, often fighting in front of packed crowds in his native Nova Scotia. Notably, he contended for the WBC interim title in a 2024 rematch against Yamil Alberto Peralta, which ended in a draw. Rozicki's impressive resume also includes a notable win over Olanrewaju Durodola, who had previously gone the distance with formidable opponents Richard Riakporhe and Ilunga Makabu. In his most recent outing, Rozicki secured a second-round knockout over Gerardo Mellado in March. Expressing his enthusiasm for this new chapter, Rozicki stated, 'I'm thrilled to be part of what Zuffa is building, and I'm grateful to my team for their tireless efforts in positioning me for success at the highest level.' With his Zuffa Boxing debut slated to be announced in the coming weeks, Rozicki is poised to make a significant impact on the cruiserweight scene.
