Matt Fitzpatrick has taken the top spot on the leaderboard after the second round of the RBC Heritage, carding an impressive eight-under-par 63. His round was marked by eight birdies, including a notable 36-foot putt on the 15th hole, all without a single bogey at Hilton Head. Following an opening round of 65, which had him tied for third, Fitzpatrick now leads with a total score of 14 under par. Viktor Hovland of Norway trails closely behind, one stroke back, after achieving a second-round score of 65.

Meanwhile, overnight leader Ludvig Aberg slipped to a joint-fourth position due to three bogeys on the back nine. Robert MacIntyre of Scotland is six shots behind Fitzpatrick after a round of 68, and world number one Scottie Scheffler is seven shots off the lead with a score of 67.
