DeChambeau, a two-time winner on the LIV Golf circuit this season, was 16 strokes behind leader Jon Rahm after the third round. He stated that he experienced discomfort in his wrist during the previous day's round and decided to withdraw to avoid further injury. DeChambeau expressed his disappointment and wished his team, the Crushers, a strong finish. He plans to get evaluated and hopes to be ready for the LIV Golf Virginia event. This withdrawal comes amidst uncertainty surrounding the LIV Golf League's future, with reports suggesting the Saudi Public Investment Fund may end its financial support. LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil has stated that the league is funded through the season and will work to secure its future. The next LIV Golf event is scheduled to take place in Virginia from May 7-10.
