Forest Move Further Away from Relegation Zone with Hard-Fought Draw Against Villa
Nottingham Forest have edged further away from the relegation zone after securing a crucial 1-1 draw against Aston Villa at the City Ground. The match saw Aston Villa take the lead in the 23rd minute, courtesy of an own goal by Murillo from Morgan Rogers' cross. However, just before the break, Neco Williams' strike from the edge of the box brought the hosts level. Forest dominated the second half but Villa had several missed opportunities, with Rogers and Ollie Watkins coming close. The draw extends Forest's unbeaten run to four games, moving them three points clear of the relegation zone after Tottenham's loss to Sunderland. Villa remains in fourth place, three points ahead of Liverpool in the Champions League qualification race. The result could prove pivotal for Forest, while Villa will look to build on their performance in their pursuit of a top-four finish.
