Shadasia Green Receives Medical Attention for Brain Hemorrhage Following Loss to Lani Daniels

Following her defeat to Lani Daniels in New York, Shadasia Green underwent treatment for a brain hemorrhage. The unified IBF and WBO super-middleweight title bout took place at the Madison Square Garden Theater, where Green faced off against former heavyweight champion Daniels on the undercard of Alycia Baumgardner's match against Bo Mi Re Shin. The referee intervened at the start of the ninth round, stopping the fight as Daniels landed a series of shots, and Green was subsequently stretchered out of the ring. Green later took to social media to update her fans, stating, "I lost consciousness due to a brain bleed. However, I am currently in the ICU and on the path to recovery. I will return to claim what is mine, 100 percent." Green had previously made history by defeating Britain's Savannah Marshall to become a unified world champion, positioning herself as a potential opponent for multi-weight undisputed champion Claressa Shields. In her post, Green expressed gratitude to those who showed concern during the fight and thanked her promoter, Nakisa Bidarian, and Most Valuable Promotions for their support. Most Valuable Promotions also released a statement, saying, "We are working closely with Shadasia and her family, and we would like to extend our gratitude to the New York State Athletic Commission, Madison Square Garden, and the hospital staff for their exceptional care and leadership."
