He is teamed up with seasoned endurance driver Lucas Auer, nephew of former F1 driver Gerhard Berger, in the Red Bull-livered Mercedes-AMG GT3 car for Verstappen Racing, competing in a 37-strong GT3 field at the Nurburgring Langstrecken-Serie.

This marks Verstappen's fourth outing in GT3 machinery in the NLS, having previously won on his debut last September in a Ferrari 296 GT3 car, shared with Britain's Chris Lulham. He and his teammates, driving the Mercedes, secured a first-place finish on Verstappen's return to NLS action last month but were later disqualified due to exceeding the permitted tyre allocation.
