Manchester United's interim manager, Michael Carrick, has stated that no decision has been made regarding Marcus Rashford's future at the club. The 28-year-old forward is currently on loan at Barcelona, with a £26m option to buy clause in his contract.
However, reports suggest that Barcelona are hesitant to make the deal permanent at that price. When asked about the possibility of Rashford returning to Manchester United, Carrick did not rule it out, saying that decisions will be made in due time.
Rashford has scored 12 goals and assisted 13 in 43 appearances for Barcelona but has faced criticism for his recent performances. Manchester United are confident that they can receive a higher fee for Rashford from another club if Barcelona refuse to pay the agreed-upon price. Carrick also discussed the club's recruitment plans, stating that conversations have taken place but no concrete decisions have been made. The club is expected to strengthen its left-wing options ahead of a potential return to European competition next season, with RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande and Everton's Iliman Ndiaye reportedly being considered as targets.
