Benn Eyes Garcia Showdown, but Other Top Fighters Are Eager for a Bout

Conor Benn has stated that a WBC title fight against Ryan Garcia is his primary objective, but he has also revealed that numerous other prominent fighters are now seeking to face him. Benn recently signed a multi-year, multi-fight deal with Zuffa Boxing, following his successful debut with the company, where he defeated Regis Prograis at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. As the mandatory challenger for Garcia's WBC welterweight title, Benn believes he has multiple options for his next fight. "My priority is to secure the Garcia fight, but I have plenty of other opportunities," Benn said. "Several big-name fighters are reaching out to me for a bout. If Garcia is not interested, there are many other possibilities." Benn, who avenged his only loss by defeating Chris Eubank Jr in a middleweight rematch last November, has been amused by the reaction to his points victory over two-time world champion Prograis. "It's funny how all these fighters are now calling me out after my win over Prograis, when they were silent after my fight against Eubank Jr," Benn noted. "Maybe it's a blessing that I went the distance with Prograis, as it has shown my capabilities. Not many fighters can say they have faced a two-time world champion as a tune-up fight and won almost every round." Dana White, the head of Zuffa Boxing, is open to making a high-profile fight between Benn and Garcia. "We want to make the biggest and most exciting fights possible," White said. "All the fighters who have signed with us have big ambitions, and we aim to help them achieve their goals."
