Manchester United's interim manager Michael Carrick has revealed that no decision has been made regarding Marcus Rashford's future at Old Trafford. The 28-year-old forward is currently on loan at Barcelona, with a £26m option to buy clause in his contract. However, with reports suggesting that Barcelona may be hesitant to make the deal permanent, Carrick has left the door open for Rashford to potentially return to United. Rashford has had a mixed season at Barcelona, scoring 12 goals and providing 13 assists in 43 appearances, but has come under scrutiny for a recent patchy spell.
Despite this, United are confident that they could receive a higher fee for Rashford elsewhere if Barcelona refuse to meet the previously agreed terms. Carrick has also hinted that United may strengthen their left-wing options in the summer transfer window, with players such as RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande and Everton's Iliman Ndiaye reportedly being monitored by the club.
