Unified super-featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner is on the hunt for the sport's most high-profile bouts, with Katie Taylor, Amanda Serrano, and Mikaela Mayer at the top of her list. 'Those are all great fights, let's make them happen,' Baumgardner stated.
The American fighter considers these matchups a higher priority than facing Britain's unified lightweight champion Caroline Dubois. 'I'm focused on the biggest fights, and Dubois isn't ready yet,' Baumgardner said. Before pursuing these big-name fights, Baumgardner will first defend her WBA, WBO, and IBF super-featherweight titles against Bo Mi Re Shin at New York's Madison Square Garden Theater. 'Bo is a warrior, but I'm hungrier and sharper,' Baumgardner said.
Shin, however, is determined to derail Baumgardner's plans, saying 'Alycia has always been my goal, and now it's time to take her belts.'
