Red Bull Revamps Technical Team

In a bid to intensify its pursuit of excellence and innovation, Red Bull has unveiled a series of strategic changes within its technical department. Ben Waterhouse, a veteran team member since 2017 and formerly the head of performance engineering, has been promoted to the role of chief performance and design engineer, assuming an expanded leadership position that will see him report directly to Technical Director Pierre Wache. This move aims to enhance the integration of design and vehicle performance, thereby expediting the development of cutting-edge, high-performance solutions. Additionally, Andrea Landi, hailing from Racing Bulls, is set to join the team on July 1 as the head of performance, bringing with him a wealth of experience, including a stint as deputy technical director and his tenure as deputy head of vehicle performance at Ferrari. Landi will be under the purview of Waterhouse. According to a statement released by Red Bull, these strategic adjustments underscore the team's commitment to nurturing internal talent while attracting premier expertise from across the motorsport landscape. The team is currently navigating a challenging start to the new era of F1 regulations, sitting sixth in the Constructors' Championship, and has faced the departure of key personnel to rival teams in recent years. The forthcoming Miami Grand Prix, scheduled for May 1-3, will be broadcast live on Sky Sports F1.
