Up to 10 English Teams Could Compete in Europe Next Season

However, a more likely scenario is if Aston Villa or Nottingham Forest win the Europa League, which would secure an additional Champions League spot for the Premier League. If Villa win the Europa League but finish outside the top four, they would take the extra Champions League spot, but if Forest win, they would directly qualify for the Champions League as they are currently 16th in the table. Additionally, if Crystal Palace win the Conference League, they would qualify for the Europa League, potentially bringing the total number of English teams in Europe to nine or even 10, depending on the outcome of the FA Cup and the final league standings.
