Nicky Richards Seeks to Extend Winning Streak at Hexham

Following an impressive eight consecutive victories, Nicky Richards is set to send three horses to Hexham for Monday's National Hunt racing. Jamesieconn, chasing a fourth straight win, will participate in the Mick Walsh Open Ditch Handicap Chase, having previously shown a preference for the three-mile distance and good ground when winning at Carlisle. Now rated at 100 after a 5lb increase, Jamesieconn will be ridden by Danny McMenamin. Streamsforth Lad, despite not having won in 18 starts, has shown promise with two hurdle race placements and a bumper and chase placement, and will be competing off a mark of 97. Stuart Coltherd, who has achieved a level-stakes profit of +298 over the last two weeks, will be represented by Rightbackatyou, who finished behind Scottish King over the course and distance. Young Getaway will make his chasing debut in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase, attempting to extend Nicky Richards' remarkable winning streak. That One will also make his debut over fences after being defeated by Young Getaway over hurdles last year. The Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore combination will be represented by Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper, with the former having been consistently placing in his last four starts. Grant Wood, trained by Paul Midgley, returns to Gosforth Park, where he has been successful in his last two visits. Wicket Keeper has achieved two wins over six furlongs but finished just over two lengths behind Power Fizz in his latest outing. Paddy's Day will wear a tongue-tie for the first time, while Albasheer returns with Sky Sports Racing ambassador Hollie Doyle. Gardener, who won more comfortably than the winning distance suggested last time out, will participate in the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle at 4.30pm.
