Oleksandr Usyk has pledged to assist Anthony Joshua in his quest to defeat Tyson Fury. Joshua, a former world champion who lost to Usyk on two occasions, has joined Usyk's training camp and is working alongside the unbeaten, unified heavyweight champion.
Usyk has extended a warm welcome to Joshua, stating, 'We support each other, work together, and enjoy each other's company - it's a great experience. We've transitioned from being rivals to friends.' As a two-weight, three-time undisputed world champion, Usyk is well-equipped to provide Joshua with valuable insights on how to overcome Fury, having beaten him twice. 'I believe AJ will triumph over my friend Fury,' Usyk confidently stated. Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, revealed that negotiations for a highly anticipated all-British heavyweight showdown between Joshua and Fury are progressing.
Usyk may even be in Joshua's corner for the fight. Hearn expressed his optimism, saying, 'It's a bold claim, but I wouldn't be surprised. Usyk's presence will undoubtedly be beneficial - it's an opportunity that can only bring positive results.'
