Hull KR Dominates Toulouse with Eight Tries, While Leigh Secures Crucial Win Over York

Hull KR achieved a resounding victory, scoring eight tries and securing their third consecutive win in the Betfred Super League with a 46-0 triumph over Toulouse. The visitors took an early lead with Elliot Minchella's try, and despite having another try disallowed, Rhyse Martin extended the lead to 12-0 after Toulouse failed to handle a high kick from Mikey Lewis. Hull KR doubled their score with tries on either side of halftime, first with Tyrone May setting up Dean Hadley, and then Joe Burgess scoring after the break. The team continued to dominate, with Lewis breaking through the Toulouse line to set up Jez Litten for their fifth try. Peta Hiku intercepted a pass and ran the length of the field for another score, showcasing the team's relentless attack. Lewis then set up Jai Whitbread for the seventh try, and Burgess added his second to cap off a dominant performance, condemning Toulouse to their sixth straight defeat. In another match, Leigh returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 18-6 victory over York in the Betfred Super League. The win was a much-needed boost for Adrian Lam's side, who had won only one of their last four matches. Gareth O'Brien and Xavier Va'a traded tries in the first half, with Adam Cook's penalty giving Leigh an 8-6 lead at halftime. Josh Charnley and Jacob Alick-Wiencke scored in the second half to help Leigh secure the win and climb to 10th in the table. The victory was significant for Leigh, who welcomed back some injured players, including former York winger AJ Towse, and were able to grind out a win despite being without key players like David Armstrong and Bailey Hodgson.
