Kap Vert Secures Scottish National Gold for Hobbs and White

The Coral Scottish Grand National saw Kap Vert, trained by Philip Hobbs and owned by Johnson White, take the top prize, surpassing Git Maker and Kim Roque. Ridden by Sean Houlihan, the six-year-old demonstrated impressive form, traveling strongly throughout. Despite being relatively inexperienced, Kap Vert's jumping skills held up well, unlike Midlands National winner Isaac Des Obeaux, who made a critical error and finished fourth. Git Maker also made a significant mistake but managed to recover and secure second place, narrowly beating favorite Kim Roque. This win served as a consolation for Hobbs and White, who had finished second in the Scottish Champion Hurdle with Captain Hugo earlier in the day, and they took home the £112,000 first prize.
