The week was marked by turmoil surrounding the Saudi-funded league, with CEO Scott O'Neil issuing a memo to staff to quash growing concerns about the league's financial stability. This came in response to reports that the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) may be ending its financial support for the circuit. A power outage on Tuesday and a two-hour streaming outage during the opening round further fueled speculation about the league's future. However, LIV announced it would return to Chapultepec Golf Club next year. Rahm's win was a dominant display, as he made birdie on the reachable par-4 second hole and then holed out for eagle on the next, playing bogey-free. Bryson DeChambeau withdrew from the final round due to a wrist injury, while David Puig finished second, picking up valuable world ranking points. The next LIV Golf League event is scheduled to take place from May 7-10 at Trump National Golf Club in Washington DC.
