Maguire to Miss Manchester United's Chelsea Trip Due to Additional One-Game Suspension

Manchester United's Harry Maguire has been handed an additional one-match ban for misconduct, which will cause him to miss the team's upcoming trip to Chelsea. An independent regulatory commission issued the ban on April 1, following an incident where Maguire used inappropriate language towards the fourth official, Matt Donohue, after being given a red card in a match against Bournemouth on March 20. Maguire admitted to the offense and was also fined £30,000. He will now miss the Chelsea game, in addition to having already served a suspension for the red card, which caused him to miss the 2-1 loss to Leeds. The FA's written statement revealed that Donohue claimed Maguire said, 'You're a joke, you're all a f****** joke,' as he left the field, although Maguire claimed he did not insult the official directly. Manchester United will be without both Maguire and Lisandro Martinez for the Chelsea game, as Martinez was also suspended for a red card offense. The team's center-back options are now limited, with Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven being the only natural center-backs available, although Luke Shaw could be considered as an alternative option.
