Elena Rybakina has secured her second consecutive title at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, defeating Karolina Muchova 7-5, 6-1 in the final. This victory marks her 13th overall title and comes after a remarkable start to the year, which included winning the Australian Open in January. Notably, Rybakina had not yet obtained her driver's license when she first won the tournament in 2024, and she used her prize, a Porsche, as an opportunity to take and pass her driving test the following year. Rybakina expressed her affection for the tournament, stating, 'It's an amazing tournament, we love coming back here... It really feels like home.' She also expressed her delight at winning the beautiful car that comes with the title. Despite exuding confidence in the final, Rybakina had a challenging quarter-final match against Leylah Fernandez, where she had to save two match points. Elsewhere, Marta Kostyuk emerged victorious in an all-Ukrainian final at the WTA Open de Rouen, defeating Veronika Podrez 6-3, 6-4 to claim her second WTA singles title and first in over three years.
