Elena Rybakina has secured a spot in the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix final after defeating 18-year-old Mirra Andreeva with a score of 7-5, 6-1 in Stuttgart. Rybakina, the 2026 Australian Open champion, will face off against Karolina Muchova in the final on Sunday, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Tennis. The match was closely contested, with both players exchanging breaks in the first set before Rybakina's experience gave her the edge, allowing her to take the lead.

She then dominated the second set, winning the first five games and ultimately claiming a composed victory. "I feel great and I'm extremely happy," Rybakina expressed. "I missed this tournament last year, so I'm thrilled to have made it to the final." Despite having a late night on Friday after her quarter-final match against Leylah Fernandez, which lasted over three hours, Rybakina was pleased with her performance. "I'm really happy with how I played, considering I had a three-hour match yesterday," she said.

Rybakina revealed that she didn't go to bed until 2am on Friday night but was able to get some rest and prepare for the semi-final. "I managed to sleep in, we had a regular warm-up, and we discussed the match strategy.

I'm really happy with the outcome." Rybakina is now focused on the final, stating, "I will try to give it my all and exert all my energy tomorrow." In other news, Flavio Cobolli was overcome with emotion after securing his spot in the ATP 500 Munich final with a 6-3, 6-3 win over world No 3 Alexander Zverev. Cobolli, who fired 32 winners and lost just eight points on his first serve, will face Ben Shelton in the final on Sunday. "It was one of the best matches I've ever played, against one of my closest friends on the Tour," Cobolli said.

"He's a great guy, and we have a good relationship with his team, so it was a bit tough to play against him. But today, I think I played one of my best matches, and I'm really happy with my performance." Cobolli's victory has also earned him a spot as the third player this season to make ATP Tour finals on both clay and hard courts, joining Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.

He has moved up to 12th in the live ATP rankings as he pursues his fourth ATP Tour title and third at ATP 500 level.
