With the F1 circuit on a break in April due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix, Verstappen has added the NLS4 and NLS5 races to his expanding GT3 schedule. Teaming up with seasoned endurance driver Lucas Auer, nephew of former F1 driver Gerhard Berger, in the Red Bull-liveried Mercedes-AMG GT3 for Verstappen Racing, he will compete against a 37-strong GT3 field at 'The Green Hell' in the latest rounds of the Nurburgring Langstrecken-Serie. He secured a win on his debut last September, driving a Ferrari 296 GT3 alongside Britain's Chris Lulham. On his return to NLS action last month, Verstappen and his teammates, this time behind the wheel of a Mercedes, finished first but were later disqualified due to exceeding the permitted tyre allocation.
