Following her recent victory over Terri Harper, Dubois called out Baumgardner, but the American remains unimpressed, suggesting Dubois must continue to build her reputation as a champion. Baumgardner stated, 'Every fight is a potential fight, but Caroline needs to put in more work and prove herself.' Dubois's team, including Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promoters, agrees that she should focus on becoming undisputed in her division before pursuing a fight with Baumgardner. Bidarian noted, 'I'd like to see her clean up the division first, which would create a bigger event if she becomes close to undisputed.' Meanwhile, Baumgardner could become the undisputed champion at super-featherweight again, with WBC belt-holder Caroline Veyre expressing interest in a fight.
Dmitriy Salita, Veyre's promoter, said, 'We're open to the fight and would like to move quickly to make it happen.' Most Valuable Promotions is focused on establishing a strong roster of female boxing talent, with Bidarian aiming to make the company the reference brand for women's boxing.
