Doyle: Zavateri is the main contender in Greenham

Hollie Doyle is looking forward to a packed Saturday with several key races on the agenda, as discussed in her latest exclusive blog. Archie Watson is sending two promising young horses to Thirsk, where Doyle will be riding them. The first, NIEWIADOMA, a two-year-old daughter of Cotai Glory, is making her highly anticipated debut in the British EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes. Doyle has had the opportunity to ride NIEWIADOMA several times in preparation and is delighted with her progress. With a natural speed and positive attitude, NIEWIADOMA is well-equipped for her first race. However, the competition is tough, with five other debutantes, including Karl Burke's daughter of Blue Point Bai Tong. Doyle will also be riding MERLIER in the Stirrup Bar For Deli-Style Dining Packages Handicap, where he will be attempting to build on his progressive All-Weather performances. Having won a five-furlong maiden at Newcastle and followed up at Wolverhampton, MERLIER has earned an opening rating of 85. The Greenham Stakes at Newbury will see Zavateri and Albert Einstein go head-to-head. Zavateri, who won the Group 1 National Stakes in Ireland, sets the standard, although his performance at Newmarket in the Dewhurst was not as strong. Albert Einstein's reappearance in a Listed race at the Curragh was disappointing, but Aidan O'Brien is giving him another chance over seven furlongs. The Group 3 Dubai Duty Free Stakes, also known as the Fred Darling, is an open renewal, with several fillies holding similar prospects. Doyle believes Shadwell's TOULEEN has the potential to do well, but will need to be at her best to win. Richard and Peter Fahey's Catching The Moon is also a strong contender, with Ryan Moore in the saddle. In other races, Doyle expects URBAN LION to have a good chance in the Win Unique Experiences At OLBG Prizes Spring Cup Handicap, while Simon and Ed Crisford's Shout is also one to watch. Al AASY, meanwhile, is capable of keeping Karl Burke's likely favourite Convergent on his toes in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Stakes.
