Rangers Stun Falkirk with Nine-Goal Thriller to Keep Pressure on Hearts

Rangers mounted an incredible comeback at Falkirk to remain firmly in contention for the Scottish Premiership title, with just five games left to play. Having started the day in third place following wins by Hearts and Celtic on Saturday, Danny Röhl's side found themselves 2-0 down after goals from Ben Broggio and Finn Yeats. However, Tochi Chukwanui's strike before the break sparked a blistering second-half performance, with Youssef Chermiti and Nico Raskin scoring to give Rangers a 3-2 lead. Bojan Miovski added a fourth, before Falkirk's Calvin Miller reduced the deficit from the penalty spot after James Tavernier fouled Filip Lissah. Rangers' title credentials were on full display as Miovski and Chermiti scored again, putting the game out of reach. The win sees Rangers move back into second place, a point behind leaders Hearts, with Celtic a further two points adrift. The comeback was sparked by Chukwuani's contentious finish just before half-time, after Raskin's cross was headed against the post by Djeidi Gassama. The introduction of Miovski for Mikey Moore at the break proved a crucial change by Röhl, as Rangers' threat increased significantly in the second half. Chermiti and Raskin were instrumental in Rangers taking the lead, before Miovski bundled home from a cross. Falkirk were given a lifeline when Miller scored from the spot, but Raskin's creativity and Chermiti's finishing ensured Rangers restored their two-goal cushion. Miovski sealed the win with a late strike, converting Oliver Antman's low cross. Rangers head coach Danny Röhl praised his team's spirit and reaction, saying: 'Our start was not good, but the reaction was outstanding. We focus on our job to do. It's much easier to go into the break with a win, and the spirit is great.'
