However, Joshua's commitment to the fight remains uncertain due to his involvement in a car accident in Nigeria and the resultant tragic loss of his friends. Promoter Eddie Hearn stated that they have received the contract and are reviewing it, with Joshua expected to receive medical clearance to resume full training soon. A July return to the ring is anticipated, potentially against Deontay Wilder, before facing Fury in November.
Hearn expressed interest in arranging back-to-back fights against Wilder and Fury, but Wilder's camp claims no discussions have taken place yet.
