Fitzpatrick Takes the Lead After Round Two of the RBC Heritage

Matt Fitzpatrick has taken the top spot after the second round of the RBC Heritage, finishing with a one-stroke lead after achieving an impressive eight-under-par 63. His bogey-free round at Hilton Head included eight birdies, highlighted by a notable 36-foot putt on the 15th hole. Fitzpatrick, the 2022 US Open champion, started Friday in a six-way tie for third place following his opening round of 65. Now, the 31-year-old is in the lead at 14 under par midway through the tournament, while Norway's Viktor Hovland trails by one stroke after scoring 65 in the second round. Overnight leader Ludvig Aberg fell to a joint-fourth position after encountering three bogeys on the back nine. Scotland's Robert MacIntyre is six shots behind Fitzpatrick after posting a 68, and world number one Scottie Scheffler is seven shots off the pace with a score of 67. The RBC Heritage continues with live coverage on Sky Sports Golf, starting daily at 12pm, and can be streamed without a contract.
