Augusta National Golf Tournament: Final Standings

The final standings for the Masters golf tournament, the year's first major event, are in. Held at Augusta National in Georgia, the competition saw Rory McIlroy successfully defend his title. McIlroy made history by becoming the first player to achieve this feat since Tiger Woods. World number one Scottie Scheffler was the pre-tournament favorite but ultimately finished a shot behind McIlroy. Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, Cameron Young, and Russell Henley followed closely, with Collin Morikawa and Sam Burns sharing seventh place. The top 10 was rounded out by Max Homa and Xander Schauffele. The Masters is the first of four major golf tournaments in as many months, with the PGA Championship, US Open, and The Open to follow. The PGA Tour now heads to South Carolina for the RBC Heritage, where Justin Thomas will defend his title. The next men's major, the PGA Championship, will take place from May 14-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania.
