Joel Tomkins Leaves Catalans Dragons as Head Coach Due to Personal Circumstances

Joel Tomkins has announced his decision to step down as head coach of Catalans Dragons, a position he held for nearly a year, citing personal reasons for his departure. The former England international found it challenging to be away from his family and made the decision after recently spending time at home. Tomkins initially took on the role as an interim coach but was later appointed permanently. He expressed gratitude for his time at the club, stating he has learned a great deal and values the friendships and experiences gained. However, the prolonged separation from his family led to his decision to leave. Tomkins will be replaced by Ryan Sheridan, alongside assistant coaches Micky McIlorum and Mitchell Pearce, as interim head coach for the side's next game against Warrington Wolves.
