Leeds Rhinos Dominate Huddersfield Giants with Croft's Four-Try Performance

The Leeds Rhinos secured a convincing 56-22 victory over the Huddersfield Giants in the eighth round of the Super League at the Accu Stadium, with Brodie Croft scoring four tries. This win propelled the Rhinos to the top of the Super League table, while the Giants dropped to 11th place. Despite Huddersfield's recent wins against Wigan Warriors and York Knights under temporary coach Liam Finn, the Leeds team proved too strong. The Rhinos' winning streak now stands at three games. The match began with Huddersfield taking an early lead through George King, but the Rhinos quickly took control, with Croft and Jarrod O'Connor scoring tries to put their team in front. James McDonnell's pass to Jack Bird resulted in another try, followed by Ryan Hall's 250th try for Leeds. The first half ended with the Giants trailing 28-10. In the second half, the Rhinos continued their dominant performance, with Cameron Smith and Croft adding to the score. Although Huddersfield's Jacob Gagai scored a try, Maika Sivo and Croft responded with tries of their own. Olly Russell's late try for the hosts was not enough to change the outcome. Leeds Rhinos head coach Brad Arthur expressed concern over his team's defensive performance, stating that it requires more 'urgency and desperation' and was 'not good enough.'
