Fitzpatrick Takes the Lead After Round Two of the RBC Heritage
Matt Fitzpatrick has taken the top spot on the leaderboard after the second round of the RBC Heritage, finishing with a one-stroke lead after achieving an impressive eight-under-par 63. The English golfer had a flawless round, making eight birdies and sinking a notable 36-foot putt on the 15th hole at Hilton Head. Following an opening round of 65, which put him in a six-way tie for third, Fitzpatrick now leads with 14 under par. Norway's Viktor Hovland trails closely behind in second place, having maintained his position with a second-round score of 65. Meanwhile, overnight leader Ludvig Aberg has dropped to a joint-fourth position due to three bogeys on the back nine. Scotland's Robert MacIntyre is six shots behind Fitzpatrick after scoring a 68, and world number one Scottie Scheffler is seven shots off the pace with a score of 67.
