Matt Fitzpatrick has taken the top spot on the leaderboard after the second round of the RBC Heritage, finishing with a one-stroke lead after achieving an impressive eight-under-par 63. The English golfer had a flawless round, making eight birdies and sinking a notable 36-foot putt on the 15th hole at Hilton Head.
Following an opening round of 65, which put him in a six-way tie for third, Fitzpatrick now leads with 14 under par. Norway's Viktor Hovland trails closely behind in second place, having maintained his position with a second-round score of 65.
Meanwhile, overnight leader Ludvig Aberg has dropped to a joint-fourth position due to three bogeys on the back nine. Scotland's Robert MacIntyre is six shots behind Fitzpatrick after scoring a 68, and world number one Scottie Scheffler is seven shots off the pace with a score of 67.
