England rugby star Ellie Kildunne has spoken out about her struggles with body dysmorphia, which began during the 2020 coronavirus lockdown. Kildunne, who scored five tries in England's Rugby World Cup victory last year, revealed she felt isolated after the tournament and developed an unhealthy relationship with food. She has now spoken about her experiences with body dysmorphia and disordered eating, saying she would often see herself as bigger than she actually was. Kildunne credits a conversation with her physiotherapist at her former club Wasps for helping her address the issue.
She says she now feels in control and wants to use her platform to help others who may be struggling with similar issues. Kildunne, who recently released her autobiography 'Game Changer', hopes to show that even successful athletes like herself can face personal struggles and that seeking help is important.
