Conor Benn has officially signed with Zuffa Boxing, marking a significant shift in his career. The boxer recently collaborated with Zuffa for his last match, where he secured a 10-round win against former two-time world champion Regis Prograis at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This victory followed his two epic bouts with Chris Eubank Jr.
at the same venue. Benn had initially moved up to middleweight to face Eubank Jr. twice, suffering a loss in the first bout but gaining revenge in the second with a decision victory after dropping Eubank Jr.
twice. He then transitioned back down in weight to face Prograis at 150lbs, as he pursues prominent fights in the welterweight division.
Zuffa Boxing's head, Dana White, confirmed that Benn has joined on a two-and-a-half-year contract, comprising five fights. White expressed his excitement about the deal, stating that he personally and professionally likes Benn. The partnership allows Benn to feel comfortable and explore the opportunities Zuffa Boxing has to offer. Benn, who left Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing after nearly a decade, expressed his enthusiasm for the deal.
He stated that Zuffa Boxing shares his vision and is excited for the future. At 29 years old, Benn believes this move will bring more attention to his career, providing the public with the fights they desire.
His primary goal is to create memorable nights for his audience, and he is eager to face the big names in America.
