Norris Unveils McLaren's Strategy to Reclaim Title

Lando Norris is confident that McLaren can push hard to defend their world titles when the F1 season resumes at the Miami Grand Prix, despite the strong starts of Mercedes and Ferrari in the new era. The reigning champion did not achieve a podium finish in the first three races, but his teammate Oscar Piastri finished second in Japan, and could have potentially won without the Safety Car. With almost five weeks to work on their cars, Norris believes there is still an opportunity to turn the situation around. "I think we can have a good season, even if we're not where we want to be right now," Norris said, trailing Mercedes' early championship leader by 47 points. Norris emphasized that giving up is not an option, citing examples where the team has improved their position by the end of the year. Ensuring the reliability of their car and Mercedes power unit is a key area of focus. Norris and teammate Piastri expressed confidence in the team's ability to get back into regular victory contention over the remaining 19 races.
