Hull KR Dominate Toulouse with Eight Tries, While Leigh Secure Crucial Win Over York
Hull KR secured their third consecutive win in the Betfred Super League with a resounding 46-0 victory over Toulouse, scoring eight tries in the process. The visitors took an early lead through Elliot Minchella, and despite having another try disallowed, they continued to dominate. Rhyse Martin extended their lead to 12-0, and they doubled this scoreline with tries from Tyrone May and Joe Burgess either side of half-time. The away team showed no mercy, running in five more tries, including a stunning length-of-the-field effort from Peta Hiku and a second try for Burgess, condemning Toulouse to their sixth straight defeat. Meanwhile, Leigh returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 18-6 success over York. After a closely contested first half, which saw Gareth O'Brien and Xavier Va'a trade tries, Leigh pulled away in the second half with tries from Josh Charnley and Jacob Alick-Wiencke. The win marked a crucial moment in Leigh's campaign, as they climbed to 10th in the table, while York suffered their fifth successive Super League defeat.
