Thomas Partey Denies New Rape Allegations

Ex-Arsenal player Thomas Partey has entered not guilty pleas to two fresh allegations of rape. The 32-year-old midfielder appeared in court on Monday, denying the rape of a woman in London in December 2020. Partey, who now plays for Villarreal, had previously been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, dating back to 2021 and 2022, and had entered not guilty pleas. These new allegations bring the total number of rape charges against him to seven, along with one count of sexual assault, stemming from accusations by four different women. The trial, initially set for November, may be postponed until January next year due to the additional charges. Partey, who is out on bail, is expected to play for Ghana in the upcoming World Cup.
