Hugo Ekitike Ruled Out for Season and World Cup Due to Achilles Injury

Liverpool has confirmed that striker Hugo Ekitike will miss the remainder of the season and the World Cup after suffering a severe Achilles injury. The 23-year-old French forward was forced to leave the game during the first half of Liverpool's Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield. Scans have revealed a rupture of the Achilles tendon, and Ekitike is expected to be out for at least six months, with the possibility of a nine-month recovery period.
