Nicky Richards Seeks to Extend Winning Streak at Hexham

Following a remarkable eight-win streak, Nicky Richards is set to send three horses to Hexham for Monday's National Hunt action. Jamesieconn, seeking a fourth consecutive victory, will participate in the Mick Walsh Open Ditch Handicap Chase. Having previously shown a preference for three-mile trips on good ground, Jamesieconn won at Carlisle and has since been raised 5lbs to a mark of 100. Despite the added weight, Jamesieconn may still pose a challenge under Danny McMenamin. Streamsforth Lad, meanwhile, has placed in various events but is yet to secure a win, and will look to change this while racing off a mark of 97. Stuart Coltherd's Rightbackatyou will also compete, having previously performed well over the course and distance. Young Getaway will make his chasing debut in the Anthony Woods Electrical Lightning Bolt Handicap Chase, attempting to extend Nicky Richards' winning run. That One, also making a chasing debut, will reoppose Young Getaway. The Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore duo will field Heads Or Harps and Choose A Copper, with the former having demonstrated consistency in recent starts. Grant Wood returns to Gosforth Park, where he has enjoyed success, while Wicket Keeper seeks to build on previous victories. Paddy's Day will wear a tongue-tie for the first time, and Albasheer returns with Hollie Doyle. Gardener is also set to compete in the Happy Retirement Maurice & Anne Barnes Handicap Hurdle.
