Injury Crisis Hits England's Women's Six Nations Squad
England's team is facing a significant challenge due to a series of injuries, with front row players Hannah Botterman and May Campbell being the latest to be sidelined from the Guinness Women's Six Nations tournament. Botterman requires a second surgery for an ankle injury she suffered in December, while Campbell will undergo knee surgery next week. Additionally, Alex Matthews, a number eight player, will miss the upcoming match against Scotland due to a shoulder issue sustained during the 33-12 win over Ireland. To address the gaps in the squad, Delaney Burns from Bristol Bears and Liz Crake from Saracens have been added as replacements. These injuries follow the recent announcements that lock Morwenna Talling and scrum-half Natasha Hunt would also miss the rest of the tournament due to leg injuries. The squad was already without several key players, including Zoe Stratford, Abbie Ward, and Rosie Galligan, who are all expecting and will be out for the foreseeable future.
